microKORG2

KorgSynths

Virtual analog synth and vocoder with logue SDK oscillator and effect units

The microKORG2 is Korg's virtual analog synthesizer and vocoder with 37 mini keys and a gooseneck microphone. Patching is done on screen, and the vocal processor adds pitch correction and a harmonizer. It has modulation, delay and reverb effect sections, an arpeggiator, a loop recorder with undo and redo, and runs on six AA batteries or an AC adaptor.

Notes

System update 2.0 made the microKORG2 logue SDK compatible: it runs user units built with SDK 2.1.0 (.mk2unit files), 32 slots each for oscillators, modulation, delay and reverb effects. Korg's free Librarian app loads them; they can also be copied in over USB mass storage (hold the first option button at power-on, then a SlotN folder under Units/Oscs). A user oscillator sits inside the instrument's own voice, with its envelope, filter and amp. Korg states that units for the minilogue xd and NTS series are not compatible.
