Description

TouchPlaited has three play modes: basic pitch (one model played from pads or MIDI), arp/melody (an arpeggiator and a layered two-bar note recorder, each with its own sound) and a 16-step generative drum sequencer with preloaded patterns per genre. The modes can sound at the same time, subject to voice stealing. It sends and receives MIDI over USB and TRS, supports MIDI and CV clock, and can drive an optional 128x32 OLED mounted on the faceplate. The firmware is derived from Émilie Gillet's Plaits code (MIT). A web visualizer, pattern editor and manual are published on GitHub Pages.

Install notes

The firmware runs from QSPI flash, so the Daisy bootloader must be installed on the Seed once before the app. The README gives a Web Programmer path (flash.daisy.audio, Chromium-based browser) and a dfu-util path for both the bootloader and TouchPlaited.bin from the releases page.
