- License notes
- The repository LICENSE is the GPL version 3 text and the README says the patch set as a whole is distributed under it. The README states the scope LV2 plugins are original work under GPL-2.0-or-later. The bundled UI files are patched copies of the Poly Effects digit_ui repository, whose README says its code is GPL without naming a version, and the PolyLV2 and Ingen sources under source/ keep their own licenses.

Description
Polyscope adds a scope module that shows the four inputs as stacked traces, an overlay or an X/Y plot, with timebase and voltage scale controls, AC or DC coupling per channel, several trigger modes including a free-running roll mode, holdoff, persistence, cursors and per-channel readouts. The capture runs in a new LV2 plugin, and the frequency readout is measured there from the full-rate signal. The release replaces a handful of Poly Effects firmware 407 UI files (module list, widget and Ingen wrapper Python, headless startup and one QML screen) with patched copies and adds the scope screen. The repository README describes only Hector, though the Beebo pedal runs the same firmware. It is a community project not affiliated with Poly Effects.
Install notes
Unzip the installer from the release, copy the contents of its hector-scope-usb-v2 folder to the root of a FAT32 USB stick and insert it in a running Hector on firmware 407. The installer runs by itself, replaces files only if their checksums match the 407 baseline, backs up the originals on the unit and on the stick, and reboots. Remove the stick when the screen goes black or the unit repeats the install on every boot. The recovery USB set is built from the repository and restores the original 407 files. Those backup files (headless.py, ingen_wrapper.py, module_info.py, show_widget.py and qml/PatchBayEffect.qml) are byte-identical to the files at the v407 tag of the Poly Effects digit_ui repository, which is open source (see that firmware entry for its license wording). The repository also ships a build script, with the stated limit that baseline checksums cannot be regenerated from it.
