Description
Applies patches to Novation's official 1.2.1 (build 4486) update file, in a browser page or with a Python script, and checks the result against published hashes. Changes include shortcuts and Clear + knob defaults, drum knobs that follow the panel labels, a Master FX view with effects, a song pointer and a glitch pad, line, oscillator, VA-drum and granular engines for the MIDI tracks, a step-drummer, sample capture, and a changelog of RC and beta versions (the beta adds pattern chains, nudge and playback orders). The repository also holds builders, emulators and illustrated manuals in Spanish and English. Each release candidate has an "S" variant without features that write to the SD card by themselves. The author says the project was developed with Claude.
Install notes
Download Novation's official 1.2.1 update yourself, open tools/rc_uploader.html in Chrome or Edge, pick the official file and a version, and send it over Web MIDI; or build the .syx with tools/patch_official.py. Back up the SD card first. RC0.9S is the variant that never writes to the card by itself, and B1.3 is a beta with features not yet tested on hardware. The bootloader is not touched: Scales + Preset + Note at power-on returns to the official firmware.
