Standalone groovebox with two synth, four drum and two MIDI tracks
The Circuit Tracks is a battery-powered groovebox from Novation. It has two six-voice polyphonic synth tracks, four sample-based drum tracks and two six-voice MIDI tracks for external gear, played and sequenced on 32 velocity-sensitive RGB pads. Patterns are 32 steps and can be chained, and reverb, delay, sidechain and a master compressor are built in. Samples and projects are stored on a microSD card.
The custom firmware here is built from Novation's official 1.2.1 update file, which you download from Novation yourself; the project does not distribute it. The bootloader is left untouched, so holding Scales, Preset and Note at power-on gets back to the official firmware.
Patches for the Circuit Tracks 1.2.1 firmware that add shortcuts, a Master FX performance view, extra MIDI-track engines, a step-drummer, pattern chains and more, applied in the browser to your own Novation update file.
