iii (grid)
monome's firmware that turns 2022-and-later grids into standalone Lua-scripted instruments with a USB-MIDI and serial REPL, a small on-device file system and startup scripts; it can switch back to serial mode.

Description
Scripts are written in Lua and stored on the device, and a grid in iii mode appears as USB-MIDI and USB-TTY. Installation is a UF2 copy in bootloader mode (hold the pushbutton near the USB port while connecting); later updates can be started from the diii browser tool. The 2020-2021 grids and older FTDI-based grids are not supported and can use viii instead. The monome docs mark the iii pages as preliminary ahead of 1.0.0.
Install notes
Copy the UF2 for your grid edition (iii-grid-2022, iii-grid-one or iii-grid-zero) to the bootloader drive. If you ran a beta firmware, run fs_reformat() and restart.
