Firmware for FM-1 (M-VAVE)

SLOOP 2.6 fork that restyles the FM-1 interface as a Winamp 2.x window, with the sound list as a playlist, a tape-deck loop recorder, effect sliders and 28 full-screen visualizers.

Description

Built on SLOOP 2.6, so the SLOOP engines, sounds and controls carry over. The home screen is a Winamp-style main window and the sound list works as a playlist. Recording shows a reel-to-reel display and sets the tempo from the take. Other additions are a PARTY page that chooses which tracks play, a TAPES carousel for copying sounds between tracks, Brazilian instrument sounds and extra menu options. The project site has an in-browser 3D simulator that runs the firmware compiled to WebAssembly.

Install notes

Open the project site in Chrome or Edge, connect the FM-1 over USB and press install. The package is also in the repository's release folder. To reach USB rescue mode and reinstall a firmware, hold OCT- alone while switching the FM-1 on.
