Description

The fork is a branch of SLOOP, not a release of it, and its builds are marked as test builds and pre-releases. No DX7 voice data ships in the firmware; banks are loaded as .syx files. The author's notes say the DX7 voices play dry, as the stock firmware plays its own, and that moving between this build and plain upstream SLOOP can erase the first eight banks, so a backup from the editor comes first. The work was also offered to the SLOOP repository as pull requests, which are now closed (SLOOP itself later gained a 6-op FM engine with DX7 import).

Install notes

Web installer in Chrome or Edge over USB, or sloop-2.5-b28.fwsc from the release with tools/fm1_install.py. The release notes say nothing is erased across builds 19 to 27, and advise backing up from the editor before switching to plain upstream SLOOP.
