M-Flasher
Windows and Linux app that backs up, restores and installs FM-1 and SMK-37 Pro/Elite firmware through the chip's USB download mode, so it also works on a unit whose firmware is broken.

Brick risk. Flashing this carries a known, documented risk of damaging the device.
- Distribution
- Prebuilt image you flash yourself
- License notes
- Bundles JieLi's WL82 USB flash loader (from jl-uboot-tool, for which JieLi has published no license) and the Apache-2.0 open bootloader builds; see flasher/data/NOTICE.md in the repository.

Description
Talks to the JieLi AC791N's built-in UBOOT1.00 download mode, reads the whole 1 MiB flash twice before writing, saves a backup first, writes only the 4 KiB sectors that change and reads everything back. It installs M-VAVE .fwsc packages as published (or custom packages in the same format), installs the open bootloader from the same author's fm1-bootloader project, and can put the stock bootloader back. A flash map shows what each sector holds and which ones a write will touch. Supports the FM-1 and the SMK-37 Pro and Elite; the author's testing so far was on an SMK-37 Pro, with an FM-1 not yet tried. Linux needs the SCSI generic driver; macOS is not supported.
Install notes
Windows build is an unsigned zip that asks for administrator rights; Linux runs from source with Python 3.9+ and the sg driver. A unit with the stock bootloader and working stock firmware cannot enter download mode from its keys, so install the open bootloader first (a USB_KEY dongle or M-VAVE's own updater on the SMK-37 Pro). Bring your own official .fwsc files from M-VAVE; none are included.
