Description

Rights warning: the samples folder, also packed into the APK, holds 17 WAV files (bass, drums, keys and pads) with no source or licence given. The author's FM1-Lofi repository says of files of the same names that three come from LOOPA kits with the origin still to be confirmed. The phone does the sound. The sampler has six modes (melodic, one-shot, looped, kit with transient slicing, granular and Paulstretch) with envelopes, an LFO, an arpeggiator, send effects, tape-style varispeed and a sidechain mixer, and a looper with overdub. The FM-1 firmware is a copy of M-VAVE's open firmware that forwards its keys, buttons and encoders as MIDI and draws the phone's screens over SysEx. The README says the project is only host-tested: not run on a phone or an FM-1 since the deck redesign.

Install notes

Open FM1-Sampler-Workbench-vX.Y.html from the release to flash the firmware; its rollback restores V15. Then install the debug-build APK on an Android phone (minSdk 23) and connect the FM-1 by USB. Flash the firmware first, since the loop length page needs it. Back up first.
