Description

In velocity mode each gate follows the mapped note and its DAC output follows that note's velocity. In CC mode the DACs track CC 69 to 76 instead. SysEx mode lets a host set all eight gates and the 12-bit DAC values directly with packed messages. A companion VST3 plugin for macOS, built on CoreMIDI, sends those messages and offers per-gate channel, note and DAC mode settings (velocity, pitch, CC or off). The firmware is AVR C built with avr-gcc.

Install notes

Download tram8-firmware.syx from the release, put the module in SysEx mode and send the file with a MIDI SysEx tool. The VST3 bridge is a separate zip for macOS and needs the quarantine flag removed. The repository documents no recovery or revert procedure.
