ElektronSynths
16-voice FM synth
The Digitone II is a desktop digital synthesizer from Elektron, announced in October 2024 as the successor to the Digitone. It has sixteen tracks and sixteen voices, four synth machines (Wavetone, Swarmer, FM Tone and FM Drum) and a sequencer with patterns of up to 128 steps. It shares its enclosure and hardware platform with the Digitakt II, built around a ColdFire control processor and a SHARC+ DSP.
Mods target OS 1.11; dn2-cfw targets 1.12. Projects here patch your own stock .syx; none ship Elektron firmware, and the bootloader is untouched. Elektron does not permit sharing mod files or links on Elektronauts (policy of 2026-09-16); community discussion moved to elektronmods.com and modwerk.app.
Digitone II mods plus the dnfw inspect/modify/rebuild tool, also in-browser. Hardware-confirmed mods include lfo4, arpmodes, lfowaves, midiarp, layermidi, fxmod and the lfolength fix.
