MPC500

Compact MPC sampler and sequencer

The MPC500 is a compact, battery-capable MPC sampler and sequencer announced by Akai Professional in 2006. Unlike larger MPCs it has 12 velocity- sensitive pads, and it records 16-bit, 44.1 kHz audio with 32-voice playback and a 48-track sequencer. Samples and projects are stored on a Compact Flash card, and the unit can run from six AA batteries or a mains adapter.

Notes

Open500 only adds a small loader to the OS file you supply. The bootloader is never touched, so flashing the original OS removes it.
