Description
The project page says over 5,000 kits were sold between 2007 and 2021. Features include an arpeggiator, expanded and super LFOs, resonance modulation, a 24 or 12 dB per octave filter slope, DCO harmonic modulation, extreme resonance and quasi-FM modes, MIDI clock sync, chord sync, cascade mode for two units and patches stored in flash (four banks of 64 on later kits). The SourceForge project hosts the 2.68a firmware zip and says assembly source is posted there, with no license stated. The kits have been unavailable since 2023 and the author is working on a successor, the HAWK-832.
Install notes
Needs the HAWK-800 hardware board installed in the synth; the firmware zip on SourceForge is for existing kits.
