Description
The Alchemy SDK has two layers. The board support package gives direct access to the pins, LED chain and drivers of the interface board and the Daisy DSP core, following libDaisy conventions. The framework on top is opt-in and provides the user interface conventions used by Echoa and Spagyros: virtual knobs with LED ring styles, pages and shift layers, pot catch, parameter locks, CV routing for the field-programmable jacks, preset storage, settings pages, a clip indicator, USB-MIDI and HostLink for talking to the web programmer, and firmware-authored manuals. The SDK is in beta, and its APIs and preset formats may change. The alchemy-template repository packages its stereo EQ example as a starting project, and the alchemy-lab-bootloader repository holds the module's fork of the Daisy bootloader.
Install notes
Start from github.com/hermetic-modular/alchemy-template, which vendors the SDK and libDaisy as git submodules and builds with the standard Daisy make workflow. Building needs cmake 3.21 or later, ninja and arm-none-eabi-gcc 12 or later; dfu-util flashes the result over the front USB-C port.
