Description

Runs entirely in the browser: you load your own OS file, say whether the unit has the UW option, pick models from categorized cards, optionally edit samples and arrange the machine menu, then download the .syx or send it over Web MIDI from Chrome. Supported bases are stock OS 1.63, X.14, a 26A09 beta and an MDX X.20 B beta. Optional settings on some bases add MIDI chromatic note input, note names on the pitch knob and a fix for unmute latency. Model sources for analog recreations, community voices, a Noise Plethora port and other models are in the repository. Not affiliated with Elektron or MDX.

Install notes

Back up kits, patterns and your current OS file first, since sending that file again restores the unit. Build on kitbasher.xyz, then power on holding FUNCTION, choose MIDI UPGRADE and send the .syx. Rebuilds should reuse your earlier layout file so saved kits keep finding their machines. X.20 B is tested in emulation only.
