Description
The EYESY_OS repository holds the video engine, the web editor and file manager, and the platform files for EYESY (a platform folder named eyesy_cm3). OS 3, announced in March 2025, moved the modes to Python 3 and added shared colour palettes, knob recording and sequencing, MIDI Program Change recall of scenes, selectable HDMI resolution, loading modes and scenes from a USB drive, backup to USB and an on-screen menu. Critter & Guitari's forum post says it works on both the black and orange EYESY.
Install notes
Download the image linked in section 6.1 of the OS 3 manual (EYESY_v3.1), write it to a microSD card with balenaEtcher, and put the card back in the unit through the slot on the rear panel. This wipes the card, so download your modes, scenes and screen grabs from the web editor first. A forum poster reported a "Root directory is locked" error after flashing and suggested trying another computer; no confirmed fix is given there.
