Description

Forked from the WAVE firmware in the CHOMPI open-source release. The looper records free-length loops or loops locked to bars of an incoming MIDI clock, with semitone varispeed, reverse and scrub on the transport knob. Effects sit on the white keys and play while held or latch with SHIFT; scenes store every effect's settings and can be recalled, morphed or crossfaded in time. Input comes from AUX or the built-in microphone, and can run through or past the effects. Several effects are ported from Bastl Instruments' Kastle 2 FX Wizard. The firmware installs from the SD card, leaves the bootloader alone and can run beside TAPE, TEMPO and WAVE through the multi-firmware launcher. The author states that it was written with Claude Code and tested on a software model of the CHOMPI, on hardware, and by hand before each release.

Install notes

Copy FRIZZ.bin to the SD card, or install it beside the stock firmwares with the multi-firmware launcher. It keeps scenes and settings in its own FRIZZ folder and returns to stock the same way.
