Description
Distributed as three packs applied by a browser-based patcher to an official firmware file you supply; the patcher checks that the file is exactly 5.0.0.2084 and the file is not uploaded. Essentials adds a separate release stage, legato glide, transpose, metronome, per-preset volume and preset jump, Shift latch, sequencer shortcuts, extra MIDI CCs, and options to ignore Program Change and MIDI Start. Loud adds about 7 dB at the headphone and line outputs. Sound adds pre-filter drive and lo-fi, noise and tremolo, a tape echo with four modes, a wavefolder and a sub-octave. The patches change only the main program in the firmware file; the authors state the bootloader and the unit's serial number and calibration data are not touched. The patch data itself is not published, so the source status is patcher-only. Built by Freakier Firmware Labs LLC, an independent company in Asheville, NC, funded by voluntary donations. The site states it does not host or link any maker's firmware.
Install notes
Back up presets, samples and wavetables in Arturia MIDI Control Center and keep your official firmware file. Patch it in the browser, then load the result with MIDI Control Center's force upgrade. The authors' recovery guide covers returning to the official firmware.
