Description
The author states that MockbaMod is not a custom firmware: older versions used a lightly modified image that checks for the SD card, and without the card the unit runs stock. Features listed in the README include scene automation (follow actions), foot controller triggering, access to hidden MPC Key 61 screens, multi-boot of older firmware, SSH/SFTP, custom arpeggios, absolute and relative tempo automation (beta) and an add-on manager. Add-ons include PushLua, DropSeq, Euclidier, RiffMaker4T, SoX, dxSEX, VNCServer and MidiLoop. A RackForce add-on (0.2.0-beta, a modular MIDI rack) was announced on mpc-forums in July 2026; its repository could not be confirmed. Builds for Force firmware 3.5 and above are distributed through the project Discord. Forum commenters in 2026 describe the project as slowing or discontinued, which is informal.
Install notes
Apply the modded image through the normal USB update and extract the SD card contents to an exFAT card named 662522. Read the whole README first. Latest README commit is 2025-11-10.
