Launchpad family (MK3-era)

Launchpad X, Mini MK3 and Pro MK3 grid controllers

This entry groups Novation's third-generation Launchpad grid controllers: the Launchpad X and Mini MK3 from 2019 and the Launchpad Pro MK3 from 2020. Each has an 8x8 grid of RGB pads for launching clips, playing notes and controlling software such as Ableton Live. The Pro MK3 is the largest of the three and adds a standalone sequencer and extra MIDI connectivity.

Notes

Novation has not opened the MK3 firmware, and no replacement OS was found for the Launchpad X, Mini MK3 or Pro MK3. The only third-party tool is a utility that patches stock firmware images for these units. For the original Launchpad Pro, see the Launchpad Pro (MK1) entry.
