Segment generator / envelope (discontinued)
Stages is a 14HP Eurorack segment generator from Mutable Instruments, produced from 2018 to 2022. Six segments, each of which can be a ramp, a hold or a step, are grouped according to which gate inputs are patched, so the same panel can act as a multi-stage envelope, several separate envelopes or an LFO. It uses an STM32F373 at 72 MHz and a DAC8168.
Mutable Instruments firmware is MIT-licensed (STM32 code) and the hardware is CC-BY-SA-3.0. Derivatives may not use the Mutable Instruments name. Official firmware v1.2 absorbed several features that began in community forks.
Fork of joeSeggiola's Stages firmware adding bipolar LFOs, retrigger control, harmonic oscillator, six DAHDSR envelopes and a random segment type, on top of official v1.2 and the extended sequencer.
